The Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve is home to magnificent wildlife viewing. This game park proclaims to be the oldest in Africa, dating back to the late 1890’s. Located in Central Zululand, Kwa Zulu-Natal, South Africa, Hluhluwe is easily accessed from either Durban or Richards Bay. The reserve is world renown for its white rhino conservation, helping to bring the white rhino back from near extinction.
After entering through one of two main gates, visitors board open game drive vehicles for an adventure of a lifetime. The terrain of the park varies from hills with dense brush to savannah grasslands and open plains. Stops are made at prime viewing spots near watering holes, allowing visitors to get close up views of the grazing herds.
My visit to Hluhluwe Game Reserve was one of the most memorable experiences during my time in South Africa. Here are just a few of the photos taken during my visit.
