Grand Teton National Park

Another of America’s greatest treasures is Grand Teton National Park.  I had the good fortune to visit this outdoor enthusiast’s paradise during a road trip to some of the great National Parks of the West.  Staying within the park only adds to the experience.  I chose to stay at the Colter Bay Cabins. Great Treasures of the U.S. Monument Valley

In looking back to the places I visited during the past year, I realize that the United States has some of the most picturesque scenery that the world has to offer.  Here are some photos from Monument Valley taken in the Navajo Tribal Park.  I had the opportunity to stay in the park overnight, and was able to capture both sunset and sunrise scenes. “Howl at the Moon”

 

This is my first stab at the Weekly Photo Challenge.  This photo was taken with my Nikon Coolpix P900 Digital Camera with 83x Optical Zoom.  Before making my purchase, the reviews claimed that taking a photo of a full moon would easily show the power of the camera.  During a recent trip to some of the U. S. National Parks, I had an opportunity to stay at a lodging within the Navajo Tribal Nation in Monument Valley, Utah.  I thought it was a good time to try out the power of the lens, utilizing the auto-focus feature and letting the camera do the work.
